Some people see it as a good thing, some take it as a bad thing. I actually like a good friendly challenge. Even the ones I don’t like. It gives me a change to prove to myself that I can do it.
It was a simple challenge. All you had to do was write 100 words. That’s it.
Many took me up on this challenge. And some even emailed me saying it was harder than they thought, lol.
I also had a side challenge I did to myself where I had to write a 100 word post every day for the month of December. I did it on this site called 100words.com.
This is a great site let me tell ya and it was an awesome experience. I highly recommend you try this out for yourself. It will truly challenge your writing ability.
I must be honest though, there were days I did not want to open up my laptop let alone write 100 words. But I stuck with it and I’m so glad I did.
You can read about my daily mishaps right here <==
I’m not sure if you have to be a member or not to read them, but if so, just sign up. It’s totally free.
Why write only 100 words?
For many aspiring bloggers, writing and coming up with content is the most difficult thing to do. Especially if you have no type of training or have never written anything longer than a sentence. And coming up with content that’s unique and creative is even more difficult.
So writing 100 words is a great exercise to help with creativity and to sharping your writing skills.
The good ol’ Frank Kern once told me …
“If you want to get good at writing, just f’@#king write everyday. It doesn’t matter how many words or what it’s about. Just F@#king write.”
That’s exactly what I did. I just wrote. And that’s what you should do too.
