Since starting this blog, I’ve been getting tons of questions on how I’m planning on driving traffic to my new blog. Well in this post I will give you a detailed layout of exactly how I’m planning on driving traffic to the Income Press blog.
Now you may or may not know about my Niche Site Challenge, but this blog is part of an on going challenge I did to myself.
I created 2 types of niche sites.
1: A Passion Niche Site
2: A Brand Niche Site
The passion niche site is just a simple site I created. It’s main purpose is to get ranked as high as possible in google and be monetized with Adsense and Promotional offers.
The Brand Niche Site, (the income press blog) is much more than that. I’m not to much concern with the whole Alexa and Page Ranking stuff or any of the SEO type things.
Now don’t take me wrong, I still want those things and I will keep them in mind for everything I do with the Income Press blog. But it’s not my main focus.
My main focus is to generate super highly qualified traffic. I’m going to focus on the Quality rather than the Quantity.
You see, I learn this Q vs Q thing with my email marketing. I learned that the quality of lead is worth 10 times more the the quantity of leads you have.
You can have a list of 100,000 unqualified leads and it will never make you more money than a list of 5,000 highly qualified and responsive leads. Plain and simple.
The same approach I’m taking with this new blog. Only quality traffic.
I want to build an audience, a loyal following, a raven fan base. I want this blog to be more than just a blog.
How am I going to do this?
As I said before, there a many ways to drive traffic, but I’m only going to focus on two.
1: Email Marketing – The best qualified traffic is from my already loyal readers and subscribers. If you have a list of subscribers, then this is the best place to start. They will give you the best and most honest feedback.
They know, like, and trust you. They will tell it like it is. With their help, you can tweak and optimize your blog and get it ready for your new visitors.
2: Guest Blogging – This will be my main source of generating fresh new traffic. This in my opinion, is the best way to get super, highly qualified traffic to your blog.
(Guest Blogging is where you post your articles on other peoples blogs.)
It may not be in the thousands and thousands per day, but this is by far the best source of getting high quality traffic.
When you guest post on other peoples blogs, you’re tapping into:
- An established audience
- A loyal following
- A raven fan base.
Those blogs did all the hard work for you. All you have to do is tap into it. This is what I’m going to do. I’m going to do a lot of guest blogging to bring in that highly qualified traffic.
Guest blogging can be tricky at times. You want to be careful when guest blogging because you don’t want to guest post on a blog that has no kind of traffic coming in.
You want to make sure the blog has an audience, a following. Makes no sense posting in a ghost town if no ones going to read it.
Here’s what I’m going to do.
I’m going to use this cool little service I found on My Blog Guest. This is a service where you can submit your articles and other bloggers bid on your post.
You then review all the bids that came in. You get to see their alexa and page ranking scores and even review their blog.
This is great cause you actually get to choose where your article gets posted. I’ve already got 2 submitted. Just waiting on them to go live. Usually they schedule it to go live a week or 2 later.
I’m going to try this out for about a month. Meanwhile I’ll also be looking for other guest blogging opportunities outside of this market place.
For this I’m going to target highly reputable blogs. Blogs with a page rank of 4 or higher. Alexa ranking of 50,000 or less. And a minimum of 3000 RSS subscribers.
This is going to be a huge task, but I’m ready for it. If I want to build an audience of loyal followers and raven fans, this is what I must do. I must go all out.
Some tips for guest blogging:
Before I go, I want to give you some good tips to guest blogging. Just in case you want to try it out.
1: Write your best stuff – When guest blogging, you want to submit your best content. You want to hit them with the best stuff you got. If they see that your guest post it bad ass, they will think your other stuff on your blog is even better and will come flying on over to your blog.
2: Submitting your guest post – Before you submit or contacting a blog you’re thinking of guest blogging for, make sure to write your post first. Read it, re-read it, and re-re-read it again. Make sure is top notch and typo free.
3: Uniqueness – Make sure your guest post is 100% unique. If one of your post has been approved, DO NOT re submit to another blog. Do Not think of spinning it. Keep it 100% unique and exclusive to the blog that excepted it.
If for some reason it did not get approved, then you can submit that post to another blog.
4: Comment on your Guest Posts – After your guest post goes live, monitor it for a while. Make sure to comment and reply to all those who comment on your guest post. Not all people who read your guest post will come jumping over to your blog.
Conversate with them, interact with them, get to know them. Show them that you are an actual real person. Earn their trust. Traffic will trickle down just by you doing this.
There you have it!
These are my plans driving quality traffic to the income press blog. It’s quite challenging, but also a lot of fun. When you think about it, it’s almost like ad swapping, only this is guest post swapping, lol. I just completely made that word up, it sound good though ;-)
Like I said before, I’m not looking for ranking high on google and getting a beefed up Page Rank. All I’m looking for is good quality traffic to my site. The ranking and all that stuff will take care of itself as the traffic comes in.
Anyway that’s it for me here today. Hope you enjoy it and found it helpful and useful.
