The other day I wrote a post asking you, “What are you struggling with right now?“.
After that I recorded a podcast session where I covered how to figure out why your conversions suck. This was one of the key struggles many people were having.
Today I’ll be showing you an exercise to help you figure out exactly what you want. What you want to achieve, what you want to accomplish, and where you want to be at when you reach your end result.
This exercise is called The Kissimmee Blitz.
It’s an exercise I discovered back when I was learning some good ol’ stuff from Dr. Frank Kern, Attorney at Law, Chief engineer of NASA, and Retired.
Believe it or not, this is what he likes to be called now a days ;-)
Anyway, getting back to topic. The K-Blitz is a version of what Frank Kern calls, “Results in Advance“.
This method he teaches is basically just a way to figure out your customers end results. What your customer wants to achieve and accomplish.
Then you create a series of events where you teach them stuff that they can use so they can reach their end results.
This creates reciprocity, builds your relationship, establishes a tight bond, and gains you trust. Essentially making that person want to give you money for more information that will get them similar or better results.
Now this exercise is great, and it works. But my version is different. My version focuses on YOU! What you want to achieve, what you want to accomplish, and how you can reach your end results.
This may sound a bit selfish, but it’s not. As you reach your end result, you’ll not only be helping YOU, but helping many people along the way.
So let’s begin the exercise.
The Kissimmee Blitz
The K-Blitz exercise will show you how to figure out exactly what your end result will be. It will also show you how to figure out the necessary steps you need to take in order to reach your end result.
It’s important to know exactly what your end result is and exactly what steps you’re going to take to get there. It’s the only way you will reach your end result.
The following steps will show you how to create your own Kissimmee Blitz, how it works, and how to work it.
Step 1: Create Your Kissimmee Blitz Layout
Follow the diagram below to draw out your K-Blitz. Draw it exactly as you see it in the picture below.
What each section means:
- The first line represents you and your hub.
- The next section represents your Action Steps. The Stuff you’re going to do.
- The middle line represents your Review. This is where you’ll review your actions steps and decide on whether to proceed or start over.
- The next section represents the Results from your Action Steps.
- The last line represents your End Results. The exact thing you want to achieve and accomplish.
Step 2: Figure out your End Result
It’s important you know exactly what your end result will be. Focus on that and only that.
The majority of the people focus on what they’re going to do first, and not even know what their end results are.
This causes you to go in circles. You won’t know what direction to take. There’s no real focus.
Put 150% of your focus on figuring out exactly what you want to achieve, accomplish, and where you want to be at when you reach your end result.
– Is it money? then how much? Exactly to the cent.
– Is it a book? Then what type of book, what genre, how many words, how many copies sold, etc.
– Is it a successful blog? Then what niche, what content type, video, podcast, text, or all.
Doesn’t matter what your end result is. Just figure out exactly what you want to achieve, accomplish, and where you want to be at when you reach your end result.
Step 3: Write down the One thing you’re going to do
This is not your action steps. This is just the one thing you’re going to focus on to get to your end result. Your base, your hub, your central location.
Example: Your end result is selling 10,000 copies of your Kindle eBook in the Health and Fitness genre. Your hub is your book. This is the thing you’re going to be working and focusing on.
This is the only thing you’re going to be working and focusing on to reach your end result. Nothing else!
Step 4: Create your Action Steps
Here you’ll figure out the exact Action Steps you’re going to take. Once you have your Hub, you’ll create action steps for that Hub.
You can create 2, 4, or 6 action steps. I wouldn’t do more than 6 cause then you’ll be overworking yourself and get overwhelmed with all the workload. And that is why most people don’t even reach their end result. To much shit to do at one time.
These should be small action steps that you can implement and actually finish. By completing these action steps, you’ll be heading in the right direction towards your end result.
Step 5: Create the Results You Want
On this section you’ll create small results that you want or expect from the Action Steps you implemented.
This doesn’t have to be in any particular order nor do they have to match the amount of action steps you created. These are simply results from one, two, or a combination of all your actions.
These are totally different than your end result. These should only be small increments of results. Small results that will lead you to your BIG result which is your End Result.
How to Work Your Kissimmee Blitz
Now that you finished filling out and completed your K-Blitz, it’s now time to work it. And it’s pretty simple.
You start with your first action. Blitz the hell out of it. Then and only then do you proceed to the next action step.
You do the same with each action step. You blitz the hell out of it, then move on to the next action step. You continue to do this until you’re done blitzing all of your action steps.
What you’re doing here is focusing on just ONE action step at a time.
You’re not focusing on the others. This will allow you to actually finish what you started. Why? Because you’ll be focusing 150% on just that one thing, that one action step.
People tend to want to do many things at once, multitasking, causing them to get overwhelmed and never finish a single thing.
They think they’re actually moving forward and faster by doing this when in reality all they’re doing is moving slower, and at times backwards.
An example and easy math.
Let’s say you have 4 action steps and each action takes you approximately 2 weeks to finish.
The math is easy. 2 x 4 = 8. That’s 8 weeks worth of actions. So if you do all actions at once, you should have all your actions done at the end of the 8 weeks right?
Well here’s the thing. If you finish all your action steps at the 8th week, then you won’t start seeing any kind of results till after the 8th week.
8 weeks is 2 Months. For the average person just starting online, 2 months is way to long to see any kind of results. This is why people fail. Because they see no results, therefore adapting the belief that this thing of ours does not work and that it’s all a scam.
Blitz one Action Step at a time
By blitzing one action step at a time, you’ll actually be finishing your steps. By the time you reach you last step, you’ll be getting small increments of results from your first few action steps you blitzed.
Good or bad, doesn’t matter. As long as you got some kind of results to analyze, you can optimize to maximize results.
Review Your Actions: Once you’ve done blitzing all your action steps, you will review and assess everything you’ve done.
You’re also going to review your results. You should be getting small increments of results from the action steps you blitzed.
Here you will make an educated decision on whether to move forward, change something, or start over.
The Review section is probably the most important part of this exercise because this will let you know exactly what you’re doing and if it’s working or not.
You’ll be saving yourself valuable time, energy, and money!
Blitz the Hell Out of Your Actions Again: After you’ve reviewed and assessed everything and everything seems to look good, you’ll then see which action steps needs a little bit of help.
You’ll blitz the hell out of that action, then move on to the next one that needs help.
Continue this blitzing process till you finish blitzing all your action steps. Once you’re done, review the whole damn thing again.
Before you know it, you would have reached your end results sooner and faster than you’d ever thought or even believed.
This is The Kissimmee Blitz
I used this exercise for the Income Press blog. In 2012, my Kissimmee Blitz was to make $20k from this blog. At the end of the year, the IP blog generated over $38k.
I applied this exercise, blitz the hell out of each Action Step, and the End Result nearly doubled.
Here’s what I want you to do right now.
Now that you understand how it works and how to do it, it’s now time to start on your Kissimmee Blitz. Don’t wait, don’t make up any excuses. Just get started on the dang thing.
Remember, start with your End Result first before you do anything else. Forget about what you’ve been doing, forget about what you’ve been told, just start with your End Result!
Once you’ve figured out what your end result is, come back here and tell me in detail what your end result is.
- Tell me exactly what you want to achieve, accomplish, and where you want to be at when you reach your end result.
- If you can’t figure out what your end result is, come back here and tell me in detail three things your end results might be, and I will help you as best as I can.
I know you can do this. You just need a little push. Hopefully this post and this entire series did just that for you.
One more thing
In the next podcast show (episode 19), I’ll be revealing one of my Kissimmee Blitz exercises that I actually did for the 2013 year and it’s actually producing great results for me.
