Welcome to the Income Press Monthly Reports, where I breakdown the going ons of the previous month.
I share things like traffic, leads gens, experiments, case studies, and even the incomes generated.
One of the reasons I share this information is not to show how much money is made, but to show you how it’s made, the tactics and methods used, and the reasoning behind it.
You’ll see tons of sites and so called “Guru IM’ers” that will show you all the money they made, but never really show you the behind the scenes part. The part that really makes the difference on whether you make money online or not.
Today’s report will feature a major increase in traffic to the IP blog and affiliate commissions for one of my affiliate programs.
So let’s get to it…
Biggie for This Month: TRAFFIC
As we all know, traffic is really what makes the difference on how much business you get. Whether it be online, offline, brick and mortar, doesn’t matter …
==> TRAFFIC IS KING! <==
Over the last three months, traffic to the income press blog has increased by almost 50%. That’s crazy!
- 14,746 total number of visitors over the last 3 months
- 4,195 of that was Organic traffic
- 6,472 total visitors in August alone
- and 2,259 of that was organic traffic
As you can see by the numbers, traffic has nearly doubled in August alone. I’m still amazed at those numbers. Especially the organic traffic.
And in my opinion, organic traffic is THE MOST important traffic of all cause it’s traffic of REAL people looking for REAL answers.
These are people that go into their favorite search engine (goggle, yahoo, youtube, etc.), and type in what ever it is they are having trouble with.
These people are the most highly qualified, and most responsive visitors you can get. And if you happen to solve their problem, guess what? Yup, you just gained a loyal reader, fan, and possibly subscriber.
Here’s a snap shot of the top 10 traffic sources for the last 3 months:
The number 1 spot is from me personally driving traffic and some from peoples bookmarks and so forth.
The 2 spot is the big G baby ;-) Nearly double of what YouTube brings in.
Between Google and YouTube alone, I get a nice chunk of traffic.
Here’s a snap shot of the top 10 most visited pages for the last 3 months:
Again, the numbers are just crazy. As you can see, the top visited page is my tutorial on how to create a landing page using my free landing page generator.
Obviously this is from people finding me while searching for a free landing page generator, but what makes that post powerful and effective is that I not only give them a freebie software, but I also created a thank you page generator which I also give away.
That’s the difference between me and the others with a similar tool. I go above and beyond. I over deliver.
Second to that is my facebook timeline tutorial where I show them how to use the timeline slicer.
Third is my about page where people go to learn more about me.
Seven is the actual Landing Page Generator.
You’ll notice its got 1,049 page views vs the 1,937 of the tutorials page. More than 50% of the people who visit the tutorials page go to the LPG site and use the generator.
I don’t know but I think I’m doing something right ;-)
Eight and Nine are more tutorial videos and guides.
Did you Notice a Pattern Here?
If you look and the top ten pages on this list, 6 of them are tutorials. Simple tutorials teaching, answering, and solving peoples problems. Things that people search for on a daily basis.
This is why the organic traffic doubled since last month and tripled the month of June. And why the IP blog has a huge increase in affiliate commissions.
Bluehost and Aweber Affiliate Commission
As you saw earlier, the highest visited post on this blog is the landing page tutorial where I give away a free landing page generator.
– I simply teach them how to create their own optin page by using the LPG app.
– I show them how to insert the Aweber code, videos, images, etc.
– Then I show them how to upload the files to bluehost.
If they don’t have any hosting or email management service, they click on my affiliate links and BOOM! Crazy commish ;-)

Not that bad…
Let me tell ya, traffic is the one thing that every one needs, but it’s the one thing that’s most difficult to master. It’s forever changing and you have to be able to adapt. Watch and learn to see where the traffic is going and coming from.
I really wanted to focus on the traffic and how that traffic converted to money. Sure, it’s cool to see that commission come in, but what’s more important is how to not only keep it coming, but increase the amount that comes in.
I wanted you to see how I look at the commissions when they come in. I always try to figure out why it came in. Not much on how it came it.
Yeah, of course, it’s very important to know where they are coming from, but it’s just as important to know why.
As I always say, like a damn broken record…
“You must Analyze in order to Maximize Results”
What to look for in September
Well, I’m still working on my kindle book, which is why I haven’t posted as much in August. so I’ll be working on that a lot.
But one of the things I am most anxious about is my new home. No, I didn’t buy a new house. I’m talking about the new home for the Income Press Blog.
With the consistent growth in traffic, it’s about time to get a bigger place. The IP blog has out grown Bluehost.
Now I’m not saying bluehost is crap, it’s just that bluehost and any other similar hosting companies can not meet the demands of what I need in order to maintain the resources necessary for this blog.
Bluehost is perfect for start-ups cause it gives you exactly what you need at a very low price. But once you start getting loads of traffic and start making money, it’s best to upgrade.
If I don’t do this now, I will run the risk of server crashes, slow, very slow loading times (which I am having trouble with now), and other issues I really don’t want to have.
I’m on a shared server now which means I share this server with other people. They do this to keep the cost down. I am also running the risk of hurting their blogs and sites if I stay.
What I’ll be needing is a Self Dedicated server. So it’s best to get it now before it’s to late. I’ve put it off long enough. time to upgrade and stop being cheap ;-)
Ok then, that’s all for now. Hope you enjoy this months IPM Reports.
Till next time …peace and I love ya for free ;-)
