This is part 2 of Ways to get Free Traffic to your new blog. In this post I will give you my top five ways to getting fresh new traffic.
Hopefully you’ve split tested some of the tips I gave you in part 1. I’m sure you found some good ones that worked out for you. If not, then try these here.
Without any more delay, let’s begin:
The best way to get traffic from Facebook is through fanpages. From within your facebook account, do a quick search for your targeted audience. There you will see a list of fanpages related to your niche market.
Look for pages with a lot of likes and like it, become a fan. Join a few of the conversations, interact with them. People will follow you back to your own fanpage which will lead them back to your blog. Use my Facebook Landing Page technique to drive traffic back to your site.
4: Social Bookmarking
People searching social bookmarking sites can find your blog link and will click it if it looks good. This is good traffic because people usually bookmark their favorite sites, so when someone finds a bookmark of your site, they will be more inclined to click just because other people bookmarked it. Delicious, Digg, and Reddit are the 3 top social bookmarking sites. I would start there before going anywhere else.
3: Blog Commenting
A very good method, but probably the most abused. You can’t just go comment crazy on any blog you go to, and that’s what most people do. What you want to do is find some of the top Blogs in your niche market. Look for ones with PR 3 and higher. And look for ones that get commented, tweeted, and liked a lot. This is a sign of highly responsive, qualified, super targeted traffic.
Here’s a great example of a good comment:
When you comment, make sure you actually read the post so that your comment looks like it’s from a real person, which it should be. Don’t use one or two liners. It doesn’t have to be a book either. A good 3 – 4 sentences will do. Also engage in a conversation with other commenters. Reply with an answer or a question. If your comment is enticing enough, people will want to know more about you and will click on your link which brings them back to your blog.
2: Article Marketing
This method is probably the most talked about, and most under used of all traffic getting methods. A very powerful and effective way to get your content out there. You can publish your content to just a few directories, and if it’s good enough and people read them, it will be picked up automatically by other article directories, giving you crazy backlinks straight to your blog. People will read those articles and if they like them, they will click and go to your blog.
1: Guest Posting
This is my favorite one of all! It is by far the best way to generate super highly responsive and qualified traffic, which is why I placed it number 1. However, it can be the most difficult to achieve.
Basically what you do is find blogs you can post your articles on. This is called “Guest Posting” or “Guest Blogging”. Your articles will have links going back to your blog. Simple right? Well, sometimes it is.
What you want to do is find blogs with an audience, blogs that have a good following. You want to see a lot of comments, tweets, likes, high Alexa ranking, a PR of 3 or higher. You want to make sure that there’s actually people there to read your stuff. If there’s no one there then it’s literally pointless.
You may be able to get in with regular blogs, but with the popular ones, the ones with an Alexa ranking of 10,000 or less, they are a bitch to get in to. Your article has to be very good, I mean good quality stuff. These blogs have built a very highly loyal fan base and are not going to mess that relationship up with garbage.
Write your best stuff for your guest posts. Do NOT duplicate your content. Make sure it is 100% pure unique content. The better the content is, the more the readers will want. They will want to see what else you got. They will follow you to your blog. The Best traffic you can get. This is why I love this technique better than any other.
There you go!
These are the top five ways to getting some traffic to your new blog. These are my favorite ways and I will be testing them out, and of course give you all the details on how they worked out for me.
