New Facebook Timeline Slicer

timeline-slicerFacebook Timeline… The next big thing, lol.

Yep, that’s right. You’re gonna be seeing a lot of things coming out here soon. Things like courses, software apps, designs, etc.

I’ve already seen it on WSO’s, Clickbank, Webinars, and so forth.

It happens with every “new” thing that comes out. It happened with YouTube, Twitter, It’s happening with Pinterest, and now Timeline.

I just recently switched over to the new timeline platform and man was it a challenge. At first I hated it, but like all things, we just have to accept it and adapt.

One of the things that really got me was the big ass cover image right at the top. I mean who has an image that big to begin with right…

Luckily I have Photoshop. I’m not an expert but I can whip up something real quick like images, banners, and other easy stuff.

And as always, I’m trying to look for ways to do things easier and faster, which is why I always create software apps to do the job for me.

For example, like the FREE landing page generator that I recently gave away.

So I thought, why not create my own app right…

I started to brainstorm on how I can come up with an easy to use app to slice and dice images on the fly for the new facebook timeline. And before you know it, here comes Pat Flynn with the baddest how to guide for facebook timeline.

In his article he gave away a PSD file for those with Photoshop to use. Immediately I fell in love with it and said, this is how I want mines to look.

Now before we get carried away here and start saying things like I stole his idea or stole his design. I did email Pat and personally asked permission if I can use the name “Timeline Slicer”.

I also said that I based my app design off of Pat’s timeline slicer psd file.

It’s very important to give credit where credit is due.

It’s not cool to take full credit for something that you didn’t originally come up with.

Anyway, I opened up Pat’s psd file and made a video of how I wanted my app to work. I showed how the image would be dragged, uploaded, where the buttons would be placed, how they would function, the video, text, etc.

I sent the video to my good friend Christopher Reiff, and within just a few days he had the first mockup. He literally got it on the first shot. Awesome work Chris, thanks a ton.

As soon as the first mockup was done, I made a tutorial video of it and sent it to Pat to see if he was cool with it.

Pat said it was cool, liked the idea, liked the app,  he gave the ok and within a few hours the Timeline Slicer was launched. Big thanks to Pat for being so cool about it.

The New Timeline Slicer App

This is a simple and easy to use app that I created to help you slice and dice images that will fit perfectly in your Facebook timeline. This app is based off of the timeline slicer that Pat Flynn created.

The Timeline Slicer App is totally 100% free. No loops or hoops to jump through or any optin required. Simply FREE!

Here’s the tutorial video I made for the app:

Why Give It Away?

I could easily sell this app for like $37 or $47 bucks. But what good will that do? Yes, I’ll make a few bucks here and there. But this is an easy to use app that anyone can use. I just wanna give it away.

I know that many people do not have tools like Photoshop, Gimp, or any of those slice and dice tools. There are free ones that come on your PC or Mac, but who knows how to use them. I sure don’t.

This is an app that anyone can use. You just drop an image, slice and dice, and upload to your facebook timeline. You don’t need to download any software or install anything. You just go to the site and use it. That’s it. Simple as that.

That’s All Folks ;-)

So that’s pretty much it here. I want to again give a huge thanks to Pat Flynn for allowing me to use his design and Christopher Reiff for making this all happen.

Enjoy the app, have tons of fun with it, and share it with as many people as you can.

Also don’t forget to come over to say hey and check out my new Timeline Page.

Thank you so much Joey. LOL, I was just searching the other day for something similar. I really don’t like the new timeline because of the big image. And you’re right. Who has a picture that big, lol. But at least with your app it will help. Thank you again Joey.

This could’ve easily been a WSO. Seriously. You should have like a donation box or something ;) Awesome job on it Joey. And cudos to Pat for giving you the ok on this. Love his stuff to.

A donation box, lol. Your funny. I’ve never tried that so wouldn’t even know how. Big thanks to Pat as well. Gotta give him huge credit for this as well.

Thank you so much Joey for taking the time to do something like this. As Brian says, you could have easily sold this on the warrior forum. Thanks again Joey.

You’re welcome Denise. The warrior forums a place I go to look for stuff to. Maybe I’ll do a WSO one day. But the timeline slicer will always be free ;-)

Very nice tool Joey! I really appreciate you for thinking about those of us who are graphically challenged! LOL. Thanks and have a wonderful weekend.

Dude, it has been edited. Facebook has 2 different sizes. One for personal page and another for the fanpage. If you want to use both, you’ll have to get the pro version.
