Trying to find a way to use facebook as a lead gen again. A way to get people to like their pages and become fans, and build a thriving community.
Facebook really put a huge dent in a lot of marketers, including myself. I even created a facebook landing page generator which I gave away for free.
As soon as I got familiar with the whole fb fanpage, and optin thing, here comes facebook with their Timeline. Now that sucks!
I’m sure you felt the same ;-)
Well since then, I’ve created the Timeline Slicer Pro, which is just a tool that helps you create your very own custom cover images as well as tabs, and profile images for your timeline pages.
We are working on recreating and redesigning the original fanpage generator. We’re even going to change the name, since it’s not called a “fanpage” any more.
You can join my newsletter to get updates on that. That’s if you’re not on it already. If you are, no need to re-optin, I’ll let you know when it’s ready.
For now, we’ll stick with the manual way of creating a Facebook optin page. Don’t worry, it’s be real easy. I’ll lay it out for ya in a simple and easy step by step process. I’ll even give you a cut and paste source code to go with it.
How to Create a Facebook Landing Page
In this video I show you how to easily create a landing page for your facebook timeline. Click here to see my facebook landing page in action.

There are 3 things you’ll need to make this work properly for you:
- Thing 1: Aweber – to collect leads (affiliate link)
- Thing 2: Video or image – to let people know what your bribing them with in exchange for their email
- Thing 3: Static HTML: iFrame Tabs Plugin – to build you optin page on your fb timeline
Copy and paste the landing page source code below into your static html page:
<h1 style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">Headline goes here</h1> <table style="width: 810px;" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="1"> <tbody> <tr> <td> <center> video code goes here </center> </td> <td style="text-align: center;"><img style="width: 273px; height: 114px;" src="http://incomepress.s3.amazonaws.com/ipimages/arrowdown.gif" alt="" /> aweber code goes here </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>
Now wasn’t that simple?

How to Add an Image Instead of Video
This step is really simple. All you have to do is paste in your image code instead of your video embed code.
Below is a step by step tutorial on how to do just that:
Step 1: Click on the Post tab on your left. Click add new. Make sure your editor is on HTML by clicking on the HTML tab. Click on the upload image icon.
Step 2: Click on Select file button and find the image you want to upload or simply drag and drop the image.
Step 3: Once the image file is done uploading, click on Insert into Post button.
Step 4: Highlight the entire code, right click, and copy code.
Step 5: Paste in your image code right where you normally would paste the video embed code at. (make sure to delete the “video code goes here” text)

Next on the List
As I mentioned earlier, we’re currently working on recreating and redesigning our current Fanpage Generator, (it will be called something different).
We’re going to need your help with it so if you can give us any ideas or suggestions that you’d like to see in the new version, just jot them down in the comments below.
