set-up-podcastI remember how hard it was when I first wanted to start my podcast. I searched, and searched, and could not find a good set of instructions on how to do this.

It literally took me about a year before I finally set up and started my podcast show. Till this very day, people still have problems with setting up their podcast.

Just the other day I found myself looking for answers on how to get the artwork to show up on iTunes. Couldn’t find any. I finally figured it out. Made a video on it too ;-)

I finally got fed up with it and decided to make my own “How to” step by step guide on how to set up a podcast.

Income Press Reports – March 2012

income press reportsMarch Madness baby, yeah! March was a ton of fun ;-)

Done some split testing with images, created a new web app, and the IP Podcast is taken off like crazy.

Today I’ll lay out the goods and the bads of what happened during the month of March.

Every month I do a recap of things like traffic, case studies, split tests, and the income gains and/or losses.

These monthly recaps not only helps me see what’s going on with the IP blog, but also to show my readers exactly how I take this blog from A to Z. From getting traffic, building an audience, to generating income.

I also want to show the readers of this blog that it’s not all fun and games. The money does not come over night. There’s work to be done. And when the money does start coming in, you have to continue to put work in to make that money.

A perfect example of what I’m talking about is the first month of the IP blog. Zero money made. The second month only $73.53.

Two months of this alone is enough to make the average Joe QUIT!

The third month came along and BOOM! $4,643. You see, if I would’ve given up, I would have never seen that money.

Don’t quit. Keep at it. Never give up.

What’s Going On? Split Testing Traffic from Reddit

reddit trafficIn today’s WGO, I’m just split testing some traffic from Reddit.

I heard about the potential traffic this site can bring in so I just wanna see how much traffic I can get and how good the traffic is.

Doesn’t make sense in getting loads of traffic if it’s junk traffic.

Quality is key here, not Quantity.

Here’s a video I made showing you that there is traffic:

 

I’m using GetClicky to track the live feed coming in. I love it cause it shows actual traffic in real time.

I’ll run this for a few days or maybe a few weeks and then we’ll analyze the traffic and if it converted any.

Niche Site Challenge Update

This is just an update on whats been going on with the Niche Site Challenge Series.

For those that don’t know, I created a challenge to myself last year in 2011, around November to build a niche site. Not only that, but to make that niche site profitable.

It’s been a while since I’ve updated you on the NSC. Just lots going on and lost track of it.

Still there’s no excuse…

I do have some good stats to share with you and in the coming weeks and months, I’ll be doing some heavy monetizing and optimizing on my niche site.

In this video I give you an update on traffic, money made with the niche site, and what my plans are to increase the numbers.

 

The numbers aren’t that great. But as I always say. As long as you got some kind of results, you can analyze and optimize for maximum results.

New Facebook Timeline Slicer

timeline-slicerFacebook Timeline… The next big thing, lol.

Yep, that’s right. You’re gonna be seeing a lot of things coming out here soon. Things like courses, software apps, designs, etc.

I’ve already seen it on WSO’s, Clickbank, Webinars, and so forth.

It happens with every “new” thing that comes out. It happened with YouTube, Twitter, It’s happening with Pinterest, and now Timeline.

I just recently switched over to the new timeline platform and man was it a challenge. At first I hated it, but like all things, we just have to accept it and adapt.

One of the things that really got me was the big ass cover image right at the top. I mean who has an image that big to begin with right…

Luckily I have Photoshop. I’m not an expert but I can whip up something real quick like images, banners, and other easy stuff.

And as always, I’m trying to look for ways to do things easier and faster, which is why I always create software apps to do the job for me.

For example, like the FREE landing page generator that I recently gave away.

So I thought, why not create my own app right…

Since I have no clue what the hell Pinterest is or what it does, I had two experts come in and tell us a little bit about it.

Our two experts are Peter Drew and Colby Almond. These two guys are doing big things with Pinterest and they both reveal some pretty cool things.

In fact, Colby reveals to us a big change that Pinterest did to their algorithm. An exclusive, first time type of thing ;-)
